eBook Tech

For those of you that have been waiting for the Amazon to start shipping Kindles again, now is the time. I have to admit, I haven’t been using mine much lately, but it is still a pretty slick piece of technology and a sign of things to come.

How much are the books generally? It looks neat.

The Kindle sells for around $400, after which individual books vary in price. They tend to be less than the print versions. I would say on average about 75% of the price. Downside is that you can’t resell the books once you buy them, so it actually works out to be a pretty good deal for the publishers. Hopefully once the industry understands this, the price of ebooks will fall, but it is more likely they will pocket the extra profit margin. Thanks for the comment Woody.
