Krispy Kreme Sandwich
Tue, Nov 11, 2008
Many thanks to my dear friend Justin Lee for sending me graphic photos of a concept that we have talked about for years. Yesterday, Justin reduced this idea to practice, and the result is a montecristo-style savory and sweet Krispy Kreme breakfast sandwich. My apologies to readers who come to this site for technology news. This feature is decidedly not tech, but the picture was too good not to share.
Salty-sweet perfected….a Large Grade A egg is scrambled to perfection and placed gingerly upon a flash pan-toasted Krispy Kreme signature glazed doughnut. Topped with shaved black forest ham and a generous helping of Tillamook chedder, this sandwich served warm will surely please the most fickle of breakfast connoisseurs. Garnished with seasonal berries.

Krispy Kreme Breakfast Sandwich Recipe:
- Buy krispy kremes
- Don’t eat all krispy kremes by the time you get home
- Halve a KK and use your finger to spread a little bit of margarine (keeping with health theme) to the exposed halves of the doughnut
- Mix 1 egg and a teaspoon of milk to make the egg fluffy
- Cook the egg omlet style so it retains its shape and fluffiness. It makes sandwich construction easier
- Slice cheddar and place on ham. NUKE the combo in the microwave for 20 secs to melt cheese and heat ham.
- Fry the doughnut in the pan, butter sides down. Be careful, not too much structural integrity to a KK in the first place, so don’t cook long.
- Construct Sammy…. Egg, ham, cheese, KK .
- Voila. Wait for your arteries to slow completely and die in a very nice salty-sweet nirvana.
