Readers of this blog know I spend my free time working on iPhone applications. Touch Type was the first application that I wrote, but is now the third to launch on the App Store.
Touch Type allows users to type email messages on the iPhone in landscape mode. The application is extremely simple, but solve a problem that I was having. Namely, that I prefer typing email messages with two thumbs, which I had to give us when transitioning to the iPhone. I wrote Touch Type about 2 months ago, and have been using it continuously since. The application was just green-lit to go live on the App Store this evening, so it should be available sometime tomorrow. I hope you enjoy it.
Please feel free to explore this site, thisistech.com, for information about my other two apps Private-I and Direct Line. This blog focuses primarily on a combination of technology and legal issues, combined with a bunch of iPhone stuff, and then whatever else I think is interesting. Please explore the site, and leave comments if you like what you see.

UPDATE:
1) The next version of TouchType will include the ability to send text to Apple’s Notes program and will include the ability to save snippets of text for reuse.
2) I am also working on better support for non-Latin based keyboards. In the next version the plan is for users to be able to toggle through a number of keyboard types.
BETA TEST OPPORTUNITIES:
It is difficult to beta test programs for the iPhone, but for my next iPhone program, I am working on a system that will allow for better feedback, particularly in other countries. The upside for beta-testers is that the app wouldn’t cost the testers anything, plus a chance to see what is coming out early. If you are interested in beta testing my next app, please send me an email at beta@thisistech.com. Please let me know which country you are in, since a major goal of the next test will be identifying international issues early. I won’t spam you, but may contact with information on the next product.
Thanks,
Mike
